Eat the FlagsLet's eat the flags.
We don't need stars
And we don't need stripes
Or hammers
Or sickles
Or yellow racetracks
To tell us that life is worth living.
Burn the white washed halls.
Declare independence from frowns
And faceless men without reflections
Who stand behind chairs.
Pledge allegiance to those worth
Pledging allegiance to,
And trample the vintage
Along the coast.
Show grapes how to smile.
Have a dream of penniless planets
Dancing like atoms
At the end of an endless road
Where a challenge exists intact
Run by men.
And cross a river
Where grain waves in the rays of a sun
Fueled by reactions between laughter
and brown eyes.
A VacummHe is music,
Gasping out his soul
To the wails of pounding pianos
Reverberating through the prison halls.
And when he speaks
His rose petal voice finds the fire
And is perverted into ashen thorns which
Choke his quivering throat.
He is music,
Noise in a vacumm,
Vibrations on the moon,
Screams slipping through the sun.
He is music.
And there is nothing more to him
Than that.
